Description

Unitronics servo drives B5 and E5-S expand functionality of previous Unitronics servo series while remaining equally easy to configure and program. The available power range of 50W to 7.5kW meets the needs of most machines. Full specification later in the description.

What makes Unitronics servo drives unique??

  • Program PLC and servo drives in one UniLogic environment. This will speed up work and integration for larger industrial applications or machines.
  • Automatic configuration and communication of PLC with servo drive. Just select the servo drive model and the rest of the configuration will be done by the software.
  • Copy real life mechanical connections to avoid errors at the design stage and increase application safety.
  • UniLogic includes a built-in, quick diagnostic tool to check servo drive performance and operating parameters in real time.
  • Autotune and single-parameter adjustments optimize movement with minimal effort.
  • CAM and axis synchronization (only in EtherCAT) make Unitronics servo drives suitable for the most complex applications.

New features in B5 and ES-5 servos

  • Built-in STO (Safe Torque Off) - only in EtherCAT

STO is standard safety function to secure user from any failures and dangerous situation. The STO function will also ensure safe servicing of machines.

  • Common DC bus

In multi-axis solutions, the use of a DC bus will save energy. Motors in machines are usually not equally loaded, so we can transfer the energy generated during braking to less loaded motors, resulting in a more even operation of the system.

  • Reduction of mounting space

B5 and E5-S servo drives can be mounted side by side without leaving a gap between the side walls. Thanks to this, we can reduce the area occupied by the solution up to 25%!

  • Touch probe function

Using dedicated inputs, we can use sensors or limit switches to home the servo motor, limit the position movement and perform programmed actions after moving to the sensor.

  • Comprehensive protection

Extending the number of safeguards improves our safety and eliminates potential causes of servo failure.
