If the built-in number of inputs and outputs is not sufficient, we can easily expand the controller with modules:

To add local I/O, use the UAG-CX I/O expansion adapters. These adapters provide a connection point for standard UniStream Uni-I/O modules.

Use these adapters to connect up to 80 I/O modules to a single PLC.

Programming

The Unistream series controllers are programmed in the award-winning and free UniLogic environment. In one environment:

we will program the PLC logic,
we will design the HMI visualization,
we will parameterise and diagnose inverters and servo drives,
add local modules and remote islands,
we will perform program and drive diagnostics,
we will configure the connection to UniCloud.

Maybe a different sized HMI?

The UniStream series integrated controllers always come in 3 different sizes:

Panel 5: US5-B5-B1 (here you are) or US5-B10-B1
Panel 7": US7-B5-B1 or US7-B10-B1
Panel 10,1": US10-B5-B1 or US10-B10-B1

Additionally, each controller supports VNC (client/server), so that to display visualization or control the machine you only need a computer or phone and the free VNC Viewer.

Cloud

The controllers, with MQTT support, can communicate with UniCloud. With it, you gain:

remote VPN and VNC access,
archiving and data analysis,
visualizations, charts, indicators,
email and SMS notifications in case of failure,
generation of reports in PDF,
real-time KPI monitoring.
