Unitronics PLC controllers with an expansion port (all except the Jazz and M90-19-B1A series) can be expanded with additional up to 8 I/O modules. Expansion modules except the EX90-DI8-RO8 module (which is only available as a single module) require the use of the EX-A2X adapter. Vision series controllers with a CANbus port can be expanded using the EX-RC1 remote module, which is also connected to the controller via the CANbus port. The EX-RC1 enables you to remotely locate I/Os up to 1 kilometer from a PLC. You can include both PLCs and adapters on the UniCAN network, up to a total of 60 nodes.
